AIRPORT by Carolina Vallejo
AIRPORT is a series of simple jewellery referring to travel memories. The jewellery is made by silver and porcelain tiles from Paris Charles de Gaulle Airport. The planning and construction the terminal began in 1966 and opened in 1974 as Charles de Gaulle Airport. It is built in an avant-garde design of a ten-floors-high circular building surrounded by seven satellite buildings, each with six gates allowing sunlight to enter through apertures. The main architect of the explicit building, was Paul Andreu. The tiles where specially designed for the airport. Carry a small piece of a significant monument of our times.
